What is RSS?

Subscribe to our RSS feeds to have information and updates delivered straight to you. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) a format for delivering regularly changing web content directly to you without the need for conventional methods of browsing or searching for website information. It is an easy way for you to keep up with the news and information that is important to you.  The Recovery & Reinvestment Website has RSS feeds available for various topics.

RSS feeds are written in XML format (Extensible Markup Language) and require the use of an RSS Reader (as known as an Aggregator, News Reader or Feed Reader). Some web browsers, such as current versions of Firefox and Safari have built-in RSS Readers. There are also a variety of RSS readers available on the web; some are free to download and others are available for purchase.

How to Subscribe to our RSS feeds

The first step is to choose an RSS reader. Each reader has a slightly different way of adding a new feed. Follow the directions for your RSS reader but, in most cases, the following will apply:

Click on the add button to the right of the topic to which you would like to subscribe. Your RSS reader will launch and add the feed (sometimes referred to as a "channel") and may provide you with additional options.

If you do not have a RSS reader configured with your web browser, you will be provided with a list of options for web-based and downloadable readers.

Once you have added the RSS feed to your reader, the feed will start to display and regularly update the headlines whenever new information is added or updates are made to the Recovery and Reinvestment Website.
